But with great fame comes great responsibility. Our movie recommendations reverberate throughout our customer base. An ill-timed or poorly considered pick for The Shelf could throw many lives off balance. We must be judicious and conscientious in maintaining our customers’ parasocial relationships with us.
The Rewind Video staff didn’t seek out the level of fame we’ve achieved through video clerkery and podcast hosting — it was thrust upon us. But we take it very seriously nonetheless.
